Movie trailer mash up
The movie I will be mashing up is Fight Club. I plan on changing it in to a romantic comedy about a couple who just has to make it work. I will be doing this by changing the clips used in the trailer with clips from the movie. I will also change how its been cut to make it appear much slower paced. Finally I will use new music seal in the feel of a romantic comedy.
AMD infographic
These are my two infographics I created. I collected the data for these by creating a survey and posting it online to /r/AMD and /r/PCmasterrace

Basquiat- "What are they really doing with all that data"
The term I chose to work on was layers. I chose to take this term very literally as I used layers in PhotoShop to create this piece. I thought the best way to show layers would be by actually layering pictures and imagine on top of each other to create on singular piece. The issue I chose to express through this piece was mass data collection. The idea of this piece was more to poke fun at the idea of mass data collection and what they do with it. My idea came from watching an old cartoon. In the cartoon Scrooge McDuck dives in to a pool filled with his money so that got me think what if that what all these agencies but instead of money it was users data. To show data I used old floppy disks as they are probably one of the most well know holders of data. I borrowed one of my friends and got him to pose as if he was driving in to a pool. Once i had taken the shot I cut him out and layered the floppy disks under him to make it appear as if he was diving in to them. For a final visual I found an image of green zero's and one's which is what data looks like to a computer. I then placed that over the top of the imagine and used a layer tool to give it a fade effect. Once that was done my final step was to find the MS DOS font and use it to write "you really think it just started now" on the screen. This related back to the floppy disks as people seem to think that mass data collection has only started in recent years when it has actually been present since the beginning of computers. Over all I was mildly satisfied with this work. For most of the project I had a very hard time coming up with and idea of what to do. After a long time spent not really doing anything I figured out what I wanted to do and I think it turned out quite well. If I was able to figure out what I wanted to do much sooner I think it would have went much better and a lot quicker.

Logos (WIP)

This is the Sun Microsystems logo. This logo has been a staple in the computer world for years. This logo is simple and very memorable. The interesting thing about this logo is that no matter what way you look at it the logo will always spell the word "sun" which is the name of the company. This logo is visually interesting yet simplistic. The use of line in this logo is what makes it so interesting. It uses a lot of straight and curved lines. The simplistic part of the logo is the fact that its just the same thing used over and over again but rotated in different ways. This is what allows it to read "sun" what ever way you look at it.

Tech Culminating Self Portrait
In my video self portrait I used a canon D3100 to film, iMovie to edit the clips and garageband to cut the audio. In the video my shots are shaky and unstable because I was trying to create the idea of it being someone seeing me and walking behind me. I also tried to create the idea of unease. Sometimes I feel unsure about things in live and i wanted to show that without coming out and saying it. I have shots where they blur in and out to give a greater sense of unease and how I feel that I don't always see thing clearly. My main goal with this video was not to show whats on the outside but whats on the inside. I use a shot where you see graffiti from a subway window. This shot shows two things the art style I love and my love of traveling. When im traveling I feel at peace with the world ive felt like this since I can remember. I created this feeling by having that was a shot that was steady. I also tried to create the idea of enlightenment when coming out of the station and seeing the graffiti. I did this because when i discovered graffiti it gave me a new way to show feelings and emotions in art work. Up until that point there wasnt really an art style I enjoyed so once I found graffiti and all its styles i was able to find an art style where i could express my self. My video ends on a shot of my self skateboarding in to the darkness of the street. I did this because I love being in the darkness I find it relaxing and fun. I tried to show that by combining my favorite sport with darkness and it went well. The fade in to darkness also showed how east it can be to hide away in the shadows of the night. I chose to use the song Whole Worlds Going Insane by The Insane I chose the song for three reasons. One the song progresses relatively fast and the lyrics say something. That leads me to my second reason, as the title suggests its about the whole world going insane and at these times to me it feels like this is true and the whole world is going insane. Third and finally the genera of music it is, is punk. many people find music to be an escape from life and i do to. For me the most the most effective is punk music and thats why I included it as i felt it needed to be in there to really show me. I also show this in the jacket im wearing as it shows the logos of some of my favorite bands. After all the shooting and editing was finished I can say Im really happy with my work. I think it shows me and who i am and thats what i was trying to do in a creative and different way.
